Day Training &/or Drop Off Services
Drop Off Services – New 2021
Clients with appropriate Puppies/Dogs may drop off their Puppy/Dog with proper Training Humane Equipment, enough appropriate Treats for a set time period for Individual Personal Trainer Time of 30 Minutes, 45 Minutes, or 60 Minutes. These special times are by appointment only on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Puppies/Dogs appropriate to be left alone with the Trainer/Instructor need to be promptly dropped off/picked up on time.
Service Options while Dropped Off: Class Training Exercises, K9 Nose Work, Agility/Clicker – Shaping Fun, Fetch, Tug, Leave It, Crate Training (Puppy/Dog Guardian must provide Crate at Drop Off and pick up with Puppy/Dog), fetch, time socializing with Shadow for appropriate Puppies/Dogs only.
Fees: 30 Minutes - $50.00 / 45 Minutes - $75.00 / 60 Minutes - $100.00
Late Pentalties: If more than 5 Minutes late a $2.00 Cash a minute fee applies for minute 6 and after.
Forgotten Treats: If Guardian forgets their Treats or brings an inappropriate selection or quantity an additional Fee of $10.00 Cash will apply.
Day Training - Initial Consultation & Follow Up Training Sessions
Initial Consultation: $150.00 for 1.0 to 1.5 hour – *At our Training Facility or within our Local Travel Range. Due in advance to book appointment date/day/time.
Follow Up Sessions: $100.00 for 1.0 hour – *At our Training Facility or within our Local Travel Range.
Facility is located in Fair Oaks: Madison Plaza – 8516 Madison Avenue, Fair Oaks, CA 95628
Local Travel Range: Is within 20 minutes or less (whether due to distance and/or traffic flow/times of day) one way.
*Additional Non-Local Travel Fees to apply when applicable per Session/Visit. Non Local Travel Fees are based from our Fair Oaks Facility on the distance Addresses (to/from) and time (time is based on traffic rush hour, prime school times, and road construction for example as they increase our travel time), one way. These fees may be avoided, when apply, by booking Private Training Sessions at our Fair Oak Facility or by meeting at an Off-Site Location within our Local Travel Range “of Our Choice”.
Non Local – 21 minutes to 30 minutes: $40.00 additional Fee per visit. Examples Only: Some areas of further out Roseville, West Roseville, Granite Bay, Folsom, and Rancho Cordova whether due to distance and/or traffic (travel time). The Non Local Travel Fee may be avoided by coming to us.
Non Local – 31 minutes to 45 minutes: $80.00 additional Fee per visit. Examples Only: Placerville, Elk Grove, Rancho Murrieta, Auburn, New Castle, Lincoln whether due to distance and/or traffic (travel time). The Non Local Travel Fee may be avoided by coming to us.
Non Local – 46 minutes or over: Please plan to book appointments at our Fair Oaks Location or ask for Referrals of other Qualified Trainers in your own local area, that we may be able to provide.
To get an idea of distance for our Travel Time, one way, you may use your Home Address and our Fair Oaks Facility Address of 8516 Madison Avenue, Fair Oaks, CA 95628 ‘as an example’ of distance. BUT please remember that is for distance only, for time of travel however, it will depend on time of the day and traffic patterns (rush hour, school traffic, known road construction, etc.). Please ask in advance if questions.
Days and Times Offered: Wed., Thurs., & Fri. (Mornings & Early-to-Midafternoons) by appointment. Please note special days/times may be available depending on our current Class Schedule. Please Note: No Mondays/No Tuesdays as we are closed. No Saturdays/Sundays, as we are Instructing Training Classes all day early to late.
Initial Consultation: Fact finding appointment. A chance for us to meet the family and dog/dogs/animals in the household. Observe your puppy/dogs behavior. Understand what your goals and needs are. This appointment is very important and allows us to create a training plan for future appointments.
Follow Up Sessions: May be pay as you go or purchase in a package for a set number, for specific dates/days/times.
Package of Follow Up Sessions: Benefit? They guarantee your appointments are a priority on our calendar, as we only have a very limited time availability for Private Training around our Class Schedules. We are happy to make you our priority. Payment is due in full when booking a package of appointments and must be completed in a set time frame. Sessions canceled or not completed in agreed time frame are void/forfeited.

Day Training vs. Private Training vs. Board & Train Training: Day Training is in the comfort of your own home, personalized to your family and dog/dogs specific needs and goals. We train for you, then transfer to you in required transfer sessions. Transfer sessions allow us the time to show you how to apply training with your dog and practice with guidance. Benefit you have us training for you, better timing, and focus each training session as we understand not every owner wants to be a dog trainer and/or may not have the time to commit. Whereas, Private Training we work with you, and you train each session with us. Board and Train, you send your dog out to an unknown environment, where it may be stressful to your dog as it is not in your own home, and with Instructors who may use Shock Collars. The Right Steps only offers Positive Training Methods - Safe and Humane. We can come in as minimum of once a week, as extreme as 4 visits per week for multiple weeks, or anywhere in between!
